Tobacco

An annual plant with large hairy bitter-tasting leaves. Tobacco contains a volatile oil, nicotine, which is poisonous, causing vomiting, sweating, palpitations and weakness. When chewed, tobacco increases the flow of saliva. The homoeopathic remedy is made from the dried leaves.


TRAVEL SICKNESS: with nausea and vomiting; deathly nausea and pallor; vomiting on least motion; better for fresh air (opposite to Petroleum); worse for stuffy rooms or for tobacco.

SEA-SICKNESS: better on deck in the fresh air; deathly nausea with much spitting; faintness in stuffy atmosphere.

VOMITING IN PREGNANCY: the face is pale and drawn; worse before breakfast; worse for movement and stuffy rooms; better for fresh air; empty sinking feeling in stomach.
Compare with Nux Vomica.

Cold body; profuse cold sweat and exhaustion.

Use in 6c or 30c potency 3 times in 24 hours before travelling; and as necessary.
